Graduate Teaching Fellowships

Full-tuition waiver Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs) are awarded each year in Jazz Studies (as well as other music disciplines) to top applicants. GTFs at the University of Oregon maintain a minimum teaching load of .2 FTE (8 to 10 hours a week) and must be full-time students. In addition to the tuition-waiver, GTFs receive a yearly stipend of $3600 - $4050 for their work (based upon a .2 FTE appointment). Graduate students are encouraged to apply in all areas in which they may be qualified to teach. Graduate Teaching Fellowships in Jazz Studies are not restricted to Jazz Studies majors. Applications for University of Oregon GTFs in music are available through the School of Music Graduate Office (541) 346-5664 or email: gradmus@uoregon.edu.
